Welcome to the Potions Class!

Hello muggles!

We are celebrating the "Family week" in our school so we had the most special guest in our Potions Class: OUR PARENTS! Most of them came to our school to spend some magical time with us. Keep reading if you want to know better!

Mum and dad have worked with us in class in order to defeat Fleur Delacourt, a very powerful wizard from Ravenclaw who wanted to test our Spanish skills. It was very important to warm up our cooking skills with a magical fight!

Now, if your want to know a little about Spanish food and recipes, take a look! We have some fantastic cooks in second grade!

Tortilla de patata (Spanish omelet)is one of our most traditional recipe. We have some great cooks who dared to prepare one of the most spectacular Spanish omelet we've ever had!

Some other students prepared salmorejo, paella, ponche segoviano, tarta de Santiago, rosquillas, arroz con leche... And all of them tasted spectacularly good!

This is not a traditional Spanish recipe, but we love rice pudding so much we couldn't help cooking some!

¡En busca de la Piedra Filosofal!

Hola a todos!

Durante el primer trimestre hemos combatido contra algunas amenazas como Dementores, Centauros, Arañas gigantes y dragones... Todos ellos son criaturas mágicas que han puesto a prueba nuestros conocimientos en las áreas de Matemáticas, Lengua Castellana, Ciencias Naturales y Ciencias Sociales. 

Cuando estas criaturas aparecen por clase, suelen traer cinco preguntas que nos hagan estrujarnos el cerebro en cooperativo para poder derrotarles pero... ¡Cuidado! Que todos tienen ataques mágicos que nos pueden dejar fuera de juego!

Derrotar al Centauro no fue moco de pavo, ¡no os podéis imaginar qué hachazos y que pisotones nos dio entre pregunta y pregunta! Por suerte, nuestro trabajo en equipo cada vez es más eficaz y le derrotamos en menos de una hora. 

Los Dementores son criaturas que se alimentan de los conocimientos y experiencias de los demás y claro, en las clases de 2º de Primaria hay tantos conocimientos que éramos un grupo muy jugoso al que atacar. Por suerte, tras una hora de trabajo en equipo para contestar bien las preguntas que nos traía, salimos todos de clase sabiendo más que cuando entramos. 

Pero ojo, no solo nos visitan criaturas fantásticas, también aparecen miembros de Hogwarts para ponernos a prueba. Hermione Granger nos hizo un buen cuestionario sobre lo que estábamos estudiando en Lengua y... ¿Sabéis qué? Aunque Hermione sea la más estudiosa de Gryffindor, nosotros no nos quedamos atrás y supimos contestar a todas sus preguntas. 

Por último, también nos ha visitado el profesor Snape que, además de ser el más experto en pociones, también es conocido por tener muy mala uva y poquita paciencia. Sus pruebas fueron de Matemáticas y, sin duda, fueron las más complicadas. ¡Nos llevó más de una hora resolver sus problemas, series y restas con llevadas! Pero finalmente conseguimos demostrar que somos unos hachas en esto del cálculo y el razonamiento matemático. 

Tenemos que confesar que, mientras Snape no miraba, nos tomamos un par de pociones de sabiduría para que los profesores que más saben del asunto nos echasen un cable con alguna pregunta un poco más difícil. 

En resumen, el primer trimestre ha sido toda una aventura que, con toda seguridad, seguiremos viviendo a lo largo del segundo... ¡Lo que no sabemos es cómo ni cuándo!

The students in 2nd grade have designed different pets for the houses of Hogwarts. They selected the best among 100 drawings and now it's your turn to decide which is the chosen one in every house to respresent the whole school in Claret Segovia.

Hogwarts' pets... In the making!

Hello everybody!

We are creating the official pets for Griffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin in Arts&Crafts. 

Our designs are inspired by the original lion, badger, eagle and snake of each house. Sooner or later we will let you (parents) know, how can you help us decide which pet will represent the whole Claret School by voting online. 

Nuestros diseños están inspirados en el león, tejón negro, águila y serpiente originales de cada casa. Tarde o temprano os haremos saber (papás y mamás), cómo podéis ayudarnos a decidir qué mascota creada en clase nos representará en todo el colegio de magia Claret.
